Eir Partners Capital, LLC is a Miami-based private equity company focused exclusively on healthcare technology and tech-enabled services. Eir combines its operational expertise with bottoms up thematic sourcing efforts to accelerate value creation. Since inception, Eir has completed transactions across diverse healthcare sectors, including payer, provider, employer, and pharma tech. Targeted stages of investment include growth equity through control buyouts and equity check sizes range from $25 - $125 million.


OPERATING PARTNERS

Jeff Martin, Operating Partner & Chief Compliance Officer

Jeff Martin is a Finance Executive with more than 25 years of experience in the financial and healthcare sectors. Mr. Martin serves as Operating Partner & Chief Compliance Officer of Eir Partners. Prior to Eir Partners, Mr. Martin was the Chief Financial Officer of Equian, a healthcare technology-enabled company focused on payment integrity of healthcare spend. Previous experience also includes finance roles with a national accounting and consulting firm, and residential real estate company. Mr. Martin is a graduate of Purdue University and a former CPA in the State of Indiana. In addition to his role at Eir Partners, Mr. Martin is a board member for the Indiana Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center.

John Blakeley, Operating Partner

John Blakeley is a multi-time commercial leader who has successfully and consistently grown top line in several life science technology businesses.  Mr. Blakeley currently serves as an operating partner at Eir Partners. Prior to Eir Partners, Mr. Blakeley served as Chief Commercial Officer at CALYX, Chief Business Officer at CRF Health, Chief Commercial Officer at Greenphire, and EVP, Chief Commercial Officer at ERT. Mr. Blakeley is instrumental in helping develop, mentor, and grow sales teams and organizations. Mr. Blakeley currently serves as board chairman of Gifthealth and PharmaForceIQ.

Abdul R. Hussein, Operating Partner

Abdul R. Hussein currently serves as an operating partner at Eir Partners. Mr. Hussein is a business model inventor focused on creating significant social good through transformative business models which also produce attractive financial returns. Mr. Hussein founded a number of successful ventures including Advent Health Partners (“AHP”). AHP’s legal team had the experience of recovering provider denied claims exceeding $1 Billion. AHP was able to secure 10% of the US hospital market with 550 hospital clients – 85,000 acute care beds. Mr. Hussein created a 300% IRR for all original investors.

Todd Leri, Operating Partner

Todd Leri currently serves as an operating partner at Eir Partners. Prior to Eir Partners, Mr. Leri served as the Chief Growth Officer of CareBridge and was one of the company’s first employees. In his role he was responsible for managing business development, client success, sales, marketing, and contracting efforts required to grow the company and optimally serve managed care clients. CareBridge was acquired by Elevance Health in 2024 for $2.7 Billion. Prior to CareBridge, Mr. Leri was a member of the founding team at Remedy Partners. He drove business development efforts resulting in over $7 Billion of risk partnerships. Remedy was sold to Signify Health in 2018 and subsequently sold to CVS Aetna in 2023 for $8 Billion. Todd holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

Brett S. Carlson, Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Brett Carlson is the founder of Eir Partners, an investment firm dedicated exclusively to healthcare technology. His representative investments include Machinify, Revive Health, Capta Health Solutions, GiftHealth, PharmaforceIQ, Porter, Millennia, Equian, and Convey Health, among others.  He was also the founding investor and operator of CloudMed Solutions, where he helped scale the business by more than 200x enabling healthcare providers to receive accurate reimbursement for services delivered. Mr. Carlson currently serves on the boards of Apixio, Capta Health, Revive Health, PharmaforceIQ, Focus Health Solutions, GiftHealth, and Millennia. Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer of iVantage Health Analytics, a healthcare data analytics company, and was a principal at Great Point Partners, LLC, a healthcare-focused investment firm, where he led investments in technology, tech-enabled services, and payer services. He also served on the boards of Citra Health Solutions and Connecture (Nasdaq: CXNR).  Mr. Carlson holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Pennsylvania.

Neil Vangala, Managing Director

Neil Vangala works to identify new investment opportunities and contributes to the ongoing oversight of the Eir Portfolio. Mr. Vangala has roughly 15 years of experience working as a healthcare technology investor and operator. He was previously the Founder of Keen Insurance and an Entrepreneur in Residence at Redesign health, a venture studio focused on businesses in healthcare technology. Previously, Mr. Vangala worked as an investment professional at Genstar Capital where he was involved in the origination, underwriting and execution of a number of successful Healthcare, Technology and Financial Services investments, including eResearch Technology, NetSmart, Evolution1, and AssetMark. Mr. Vangala is an active board member for companies across the healthcare ecosystem and has helped to build various businesses. Mr. Vangala earned a BA from Brown University and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was elected a Palmer Scholar and McGowan Fellow.

Yegor Elkin, Vice President

Yegor Elkin works to identify and execute new investment opportunities for Eir Partners. Mr. Elkin also partners with Eir’s portfolio companies to support ongoing organic and inorganic growth strategies and special projects. Mr. Elkin was previously a Vice President with the investment team at Madison Dearborn Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on buyout and growth equity investing across five industry sectors. Prior to Madison Dearborn, Mr. Elkin worked on the investment team at MSD Partners, and worked in investment banking at Deutsche Bank. Mr. Elkin holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame.

Alex Antwan, Senior Associate

Alex Antwan works to identify and execute new investment opportunities for Eir Partners. Mr. Antwan also partners with Eir’s portfolio companies to support ongoing organic and inorganic growth strategies and special projects. At Eir Partners, Mr. Antwan is involved in the firm’s investments in Apixio, Capta Health Partners, Helpware, and GiftHealth. Mr. Antwan was previously an investment banker at Ziegler where he focused on healthcare M&A transactions. Prior to Ziegler he worked in the investment banking division at Truist Securities. With a natural entrepreneurial spirit, Mr. Antwan has demonstrated astute business acumen, notably identifying, founding, managing and selling a profitable business venture as a full-time high school student, among other endeavors. Mr. Antwan holds a BS in Finance from Miami University, Cum Laude.

Jacob Brackmann, Senior Associate

Jacob Brackmann works to identify and execute new investment opportunities for Eir Partners. Mr. Brackmann also partners with Eir’s portfolio companies to support ongoing organic and inorganic growth strategies and special projects. Mr. Brackmann was previously a Vice President of Investment Execution at Greater Sum Ventures, a Knoxville, Tennessee-based family investment office focused on building founder-led vertical SaaS businesses. Prior to Greater Sum Ventures, Mr. Brackmann worked as an analyst at Founders Advisors, a Birmingham, AL-based advisory firm focused on helping founder-led businesses navigate M&A and capital raise processes. Mr. Brackmann is a CPA (inactive) and holds a Master of Science in Finance, Master of Accountancy, and Bachelor of Science in Finance & Accounting with Honors from the University of Alabama.

DJ McFarland, Associate

DJ McFarland works to identify and execute new investment opportunities for Eir Partners. Mr. McFarland also partners with Eir’s portfolio companies to support ongoing organic and inorganic growth strategies and special projects. Mr. McFarland was previously an investment banker at William Blair where he focused on healthcare technology M&A transactions. Mr. McFarland holds a BS in Finance from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.

Sam Lichtman, Associate

Sam Lichtman works to identify and execute new investment opportunities for Eir Partners. Mr. Lichtman also partners with Eir’s portfolio companies to support ongoing organic and inorganic growth strategies and special projects. Mr. Lichtman was previously an investment banker at Jefferies, where he focused on healthcare transactions, and an investment professional at Coalesce Capital, where he focused on services transactions. Mr. Lichtman holds a BS in Finance from University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business.

FINANCE & ACCOUNTING

Mike Huxsol, Chief Financial Officer

Mike Huxsol serves as Chief Financial Officer of Eir Partners.  Mr. Huxsol oversees all financial matters related to the firm and has been a member of the team since 2024.  Mr. Huxsol has over a decade of direct private equity experience, including, most recently, his time at a middle market private equity firm.  Prior private equity experience also includes time at  PwC, a global professional services firm, and at Baird Capital, a Chicago based private equity and venture capital firm.  Mr. Huxsol holds a BBA in Accounting (summa cum laude) and a Master’s in Professional Accountancy from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.  Mr. Huxsol is an inactive CPA (Wisconsin).
